The german company Nutzwerk has somehow managed to scare the the DNS-Hoster of FFII (Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure) to delete the entrys for ffii.org and it's subdomains. http://ffii.de however is still reachable. Taken from this article at heise online.
FFII documented Nutzwerk's activities at http://nutzwerk.ffii.org/index.de.html. Nutzwerk offers a product called SaferSurf, which seems to be a proxy with a virus scanner. They also tried to get several software patents for this. But as someone at the heise forums pointed out they didn't quite succeed.
If you think you need SaferSurf try tor and privoxy instead. I wouldn't lay my privacy in the hands of SaferSurf.
